I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. According to my mother I was brought home during a hurricane. You can decide what that means for yourself.
I fell in love with acting when I giggled through my lines as the 12th fairy in a third grade production of "Sleeping Beauty." Followed by a groundbreaking performance as the Grasshopper in "The Grasshopper and the Ant."
I went to FSU for college during which time I filmed my first national commercial (I'm a Crest kid)and had the chance to study with Edward G. Smith and Woodie King. I spent my last semester studying theater in London actors from Theatre de Complicite and Selina Cadell.
After graduation I went back to New Orleans and soon after I ran away to join the circus. Funnily enough, this is true. I taught circus skills to kids in upstate New York for a summer and loved it. I was especially proficient in hanging from my heels on the double trapeze.
Upon my return to New Orleans I began working for a karaoke club and expanding my resume to include another national commercial, a feature film, and a television show. I emceed and did sign-up for the World Famous Cats Meow on Bourbon St. (I would like to take this time to once again assure my grandmother that I did NOT take off my clothes). At the same time I also had my own Internet radio show on the now defunct Fastband.com. I worked midnight to 6am interviewing the regulars on Bourbon. From strippers to the man painted all in silver.
I then moved to upstate New York to work with a children's theater company. I played a range of characters from a bird to a housewife.
I finally decided to make my big move to New York. So on September 15, 2001 that's what I did. Since then I've worked with an HIV awareness theater company, face-painted at Grand Central Terminal, played Snowball in a 3rd grade production of "Animal Farm," peddled organic string cheese to toddlers, and a whole host of other things.
So. mostly because my hands are starting to get tired and I'm getting lazy I'm going to end this, but feel free to send me any thoughts, comments, or concerns you might have I promise to make time to answer you back.
